"A Dream...With a New Beginning!"

The Plant City Dr. MLK Cultural Arts Festival promotes increased diversity awareness and opportunities for citizens of Plant City and surrounding West Central Florida to actively engage in gaining knowledge, and history of African culture by participating in various cultural activities in partnership with the Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival, to include a city parade, midway, concerts, forums, leadership breakfast, community service projects and educational information and tours of the Plant City Bing Rooming House, an African American Community Museum. The Plant City MLK Festival is hosted and organized by the "Improvement League of Plant City, Inc." - www.improvementleague.com

Proceeds from this festival will benefit the following goals for 2010

1) Upgrading the Cyber Seniors Computer Lab.

2) Hosts a Teen Conference for 200 local area teens.

3) Continued interior restoration of the Bing Rooming House Museum and exhibits.

Improvement League of Plant City, Incorporated is proud host of this 24th Annual event in partnership with our sponsor City of Plant City Rereation & Parks Department.
