"Unity Tearing Down the Walls that Divide"

In honor of the legacy and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Improvement League of Plant City, in partnership with Hillsborough Community College Plant City Campus, presents the Annual Plant City Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Leadership Breakfast Sunday January 14, 2018, at 7:30 a.m. in Trinkle Center, 106 Park Road, Plant City, Florida. Tickets are $35.00.

The Plant City MLK Leadership Breakfast is an opportunity to celebrate Dr. King’s legacy of service and be inspired to live out his dream today in our homes, the community and throughout the world.

Our keynote speaker is Michael Green, President of Ground Guys and part of the leadership for Dwyer Group. Mr. Green is the only African American serving as part of the executive leadership for the Dwyer Group, a multi-million dollar holding company based out of Waco, Texas. Mr. Green's achievements falls in line with the Improvement League's vision of promoting business ownership, economic development and not just being consumers. We also recognize our local Community Champions whose actions reflect the highest standard, integrity and willingness to "serve" others through the Jerry Bailey President's Award, Sadye Gibbs Martin Community Service Award, E.L. Bing Educator of the Year, and MLK Leadership Award. Two high school recipients will be presented with college scholarship and of course the breakfast is catered by the famous Steph’s Soul Food Restaurant.
